Does Caloric Restriction NEED Intermittent Fasting for LONGEVITY Benefits? New Data!
Eating LESS and doing SO Chronically has long been crowned the “LONGEVITY King” when it comes to extending lifespan in simple organisms (aka NOT HUMANS)
However, over the last few decades, research has indicated that a “Fasting Protocol” can elicit similar cellular and metabolic effects, impacting Longevity (in simple organisms), just to a lesser extent…..
Which has been a little bit of a bummer because I don’t know ANYONE who Likes Eating Less! So what’s the Deal?
If we’re being honest, it’s very possible we may never truly and thoroughly understand how Fasting & Calorie Restriction effects humans in terms of extending Healthspan & Lifespan….
But what we DO know is… that a BIG part of “owning your health” in this modern day is controlling what you can control… And Doing what we can with the information that we’ve got!
That’s why this new data highlighting how structured Meal timing (aka intermittent fasting) may be equally or even MORE important in modulating health & longevity got my attention…..
Calling out a potentially BIG oversight in previous data to date….. And Dare I say… prompting me to do a preemptive “Cheers” to not eating less for our entire life… Let’s take a Look!
