I had a good two years of My Life where I AVOIDED Anything and Everything that had the word FAT in it!
I mean it was pretty self explanatory…
Eating FAT = More FAT
And there was NO WAY I was gonna let that happen! So onto Carb Paradise I sailed, propelled by the tail-winds of ignorance and societal norms
This was 2015…
FAST FORWARD to 2019, and my stance on Fat has done a complete 180° ….. What Changed Yo Ask?
I like to Call it My: Warrior In the Colosseum Epiphany, realizing that all these health decisions I’m making, based off blindly reading headlines and consulting with my boys, were the very decisions that were setting me up for the next 20,30,50 YEARS.
An investment was in order, and happy to report “MADE“!
So here’s the Skinny on Fat
Despite still dealing with the repercussions of a multi-decade smear campaign, FAT has been on a comeback tour worthy of the history books, and for good reason! It’s been linked with critical biological functions such as:
- Energy Storage
- Insulation and Protection of Vital Organs
- Cell Signaling and Messaging
- Supporting strong cell membranes
- Blood Clotting
- Regulating Energy Balance
And that’s just the tip of the Fat Iceberg
