How Meditation Can Improve Your Day, Life & Longevity
It’s very common not to realize that the ongoing, non-stop narrative within in the confines of your 5lb mushy membrane, is in fact, NOT You.
And if you immediately think: “Of course it is, who the hell else could it be?” … Let me ask you, if that internal narrative is you, then who’s listening?… Certinaly makes ya think, doesn’t it…
Now, I don’t bring this up to throw you into an identity crisis, instead the goal is to help you realize that this voice, which seems to use its spare time commenting, pontificating, judging and building fake scenario on top of fake scenario, is not necessarily doing your health any favors.
Because these thoughts have the power to trickle down the figurative layers of the Brain and alter your biochemical and physiological state in a matter of seconds. Often times up-regulating the fight-or-flight stress response, not because you are in any physical danger, but instead, because you were triggered by something on the internet. A slippery Longevity slope indeed!
If only there were a way to get a better grip on this monkey mind, not only becoming a better observer of it, but also developing the skills to intervene before it stimulates a full-body, health impacting reaction, in your everyday life…
