Is there an Optimal Amount of Daily Protein for Longevity ?
And right on queue with all heavily debated topics, there’s interesting data from both ends of the spectrum, making the clarity equivalent to driving through a mud storm.
That being said, what we do know is, there are nine amino acids (building blocks of protein) which we can NOT synthesize ourselves and thus are essential to get from our diet. Playing an oh soo humble role in the synthesis and creation of KEY peptides, hormones and neurotransmitters which allow our body to not only thrive but survive.
And when you add the fact that protein lays the foundation for:
- Building and maintain muscle
- Facilitating critical chemical reactions
- Producing antibodies
- Preventing frailty and ALL the complications that come with it
Overlooking this nutrient is NOT a wise decision if you have “feeling good” on the top of your daily & long-term to-do list.
