People are Crashing their Cars on the Pursuit to Catch ‘Em All
This is the sacrifice that we must pay to rid the world of of every last Rattata. Its not as easy as it looks, this was my latest attempt:
Here’s the good news, people are getting up and getting out of their houses. This is the first game since Dance Dance Revolution that actually gets people physical engaged. Now, the not so good news, instead of hunting by foot for these virtual rodents people are getting in their cars to maximize yield and stock up on supplies at their local PokeStops (or in real life geography the middle of Interstate 95).
By comparing the geographic data to the locations of PokéStops or Pokémon gyms, the researchers found that 20 percent of all crashes happened within 330 feet [100 meters] of a PokéStop, while only 7 percent happened near a Pokémon gym.
Ultimately, they found that “Pokémon Go” was responsible for 47 percent of the increase in car accidents over the expected baseline.
But this spike in car accidents was limited to areas around PokéStops, not gyms.

So if I’m analyzing this correctly apparently people are ghost riding their whips right on through PokeStops so they can trade in their PokeDollars and Rare Candy for the essentials ( you know- UltraBalls, Potions, Antidotes). I get it, probably a long day of driving from parking lot to parking lot seeing Pidgey after Pidgey, trying too keep team moral high and hoping that its finally the day you find HM Cut so you can cut down that bush and get to a whole new side of the map. Your sick of stopping so you just treat the PokeStop like a 3am Taco Bell run:
Well it seems when to many people take part it creates a PokeDeath Trap (see what i did there). I would say go find a public park to continue your endeavors on foot but looks like they get a little intense too. Central Park:
Its almost as if the Japanese are doing this on purpose, getting us back for something…but what? Well, maybe we’ll look into that another day. Until then, head on a swivel. I’d advise the PokeBike over the PokeCar.
