Stressed for the Holidays ?? Give Tapping A Try
Getting ready for some good old family stress for the holidays? Could tapping be your savior?
I stumbled across this a podcast a few weeks ago while I was getting ready in the morning and it was on the topic of Tapping. I listened as the guest (Nick Ortner) talked about its benefits and healing powers. It was about 20 minutes in that I had to pause the podcast and look up what the hell this really was. Here I found a video that looks like it was taken a while back (2013) by its founder Gary Craig:
Long video short, it’s a technique that uses a series of tapping several pressure points across the face and upper body while verbally acknowledging the problem area. Main goal – to relieve stress and pain for an individual. Get them to a happy place:
It happened to be tapping’s lucky day, I had recently suffered a tweaked shoulder helping an old lady out of oncoming traffic after sleeping on it weird. So, I gave it a go – I identified my ailing area and repeated the reminder phrase as I tap tap tappady tapped. I kid you not, my shoulder pain, although still there felt substantially better. I don’t want to say I’m a full believer just yet, -maybe if it can cure a hangover- but this is some pretty cool stuff.. Next time you have an ache, sore or the stress of everything just building up – try a tap before you reach for a pill.
Its a win-win for the holidays too, either it works and your overcome with relief or your family members see you hitting and talking to yourself, making them rethink telling you what you should have done rather then get that liberal arts degree.
