The Modern Day Mental Health dilemma is a sticky one. A nonsensical reality where we humans live in the most prosperous time society has ever seen, yet we’re the saddest we’ve been in recordable history…
A dilemma which only seems to be getting worse as the advancements in technology, science and pharmaceuticals soar. So what gives? Are we just destine to be sad?
I hope Not! And I don’t believe so either. Because this modern predicament has some suspicious, yet telling co-conspirators. Right alongside the rise in our overall mental distress has been less time spent outdoors, more sitting on our butt, an abundance of ultra processed foods and straight-up disregard for high quality sleep.
Which begs the question… Are we doing this to ourselves?
Not intentionally of course, but through underlying cellular dysfunction driven by the modern societal norms which we have standardized on. And if that’s the case, can we reverse it through taking back control of our daily habits, routines and rituals?
