The Truth about “Moderation”
You’ve heard it a million times by now, “Everything’s OK in moderation” but what does that mean and more importantly who’s telling you this?
The word moderation in health gets thrown around like a blank at a blank. You see it in headlines on your favorite websites (along with the “A new study has found…..”Insert un-replicated shocking results here”) from the doctors during your checkups and even from friends and family at the casual gathering.
The reality about all these new studies and the “moderation factor” is that were all being fed a load of BS by special interests. By this I mean the industries that this study would benefit, the organizations that have special interests and good ole Uncle Sam. Check out Sugar Coated on Netflix. I’d be interested to see who what funding all of these studies? Don’t get me wrong, there are a number of organizations and groups who are out to truly provide benefits to the general public for the sake of believing in the greater good. But with every one good intending company we have a money seeking, deceiving, lobbying entities who just wants one thing and one thing only = $$$. Just stop and think, if large corporations really had your best interests and health in mind would they even offer you all that processed, packaged garbage that you see overtaking every food store in America (pretty much the world). Look at the labels of some cookies/crackers/cereal and see for yourself (get your chemical dictionary ready).
Check these Apps to assist in deciphering those food hieroglyphics:

Back to moderation, pick your battles wisely. There are so many natural foods that can substitute the sugar fix that you seek when you reach for one of those packaged foods above. Ill share some of my go-to’s in posts to come, the crazy thing is how quickly to body adapts and desires the natural alternative. If you settle for shit or you’ll consistently feel like shit.
