Just a Hard hitting study out of England here, who would have ever thought that the kind of alcohol that you drink has the power to affect your emotions. Good thing these guys finally solved the 2000 year old mystery that is on display at college campus every weekend. A person who drinks 10 shots of tequila will have a different type of night then someone who had a glass of wine—Fact. By the time a majority of people finish up college or get to at 23-24 age I think its safe to say they know their alcohol tolerance and how they react to certain drinks. Whether they do something with this knowledge is another issue. It only takes that “one night” for you to officially shun a certain drink for a lifetime (or more realistically for the next 6 months).
The fact that hard alcohol is linked to aggression is no shocker but there are also positive affects, such as a person becoming more outgoing, energized, more relaxed and confident. All emotions, confidence, insecurities, strengths and shortcomings become more transparent when Don Julio is hanging out for the night. It really depends on the individual and their current mental states to really tell how their gonna react when someone bumps their shoulder at 2am and knocks their drink out of their hand. Keep in mind many medications can cause some funky reaction when mixed with alcohol as well.
Here are some cold hard facts: People are always going to love, hate, agree, disagree, be happy and/or sad. Alcohol has this amazing affect to to intensify whichever of the previously mentioned emotional states that an individual may be in – the outcomes? Well, you’ve seen them: hugging and kissing to fisticuffs to emotional breakdowns to sleeping on the bathroom floor. All in a nights work. Like always, you gotta pick you battles and be ready for the unexpected.
I would say drink responsibly but i know how that sounds, how bout we meet in the middle and you throw some cucumbers in your next cocktail.
