This Night Shift Eating Strategy May Significantly Reduce Ones Health & Longevity Risk
If there were a comprehensive list of things that would be most detrimental to a species survival as they evolved over thousands of years to higher advanced beings…. A sneaky contender for number one would be the mandatory nightly requirement to go unconscious for 5-8hours… AKA Sleep.
Think about it, the last thing you would want to do in an environment filled with (likely) hungry predators is be biologically seduced into a deep slumber at the same predictable time each night. That’s just asking for extinction.
However, this innate biological need never evolved away via natural selection. Not only for us humans, but for basically the entire animal kingdom. Indicating that sleep is so biologically important that it was worth the risk.
Which makes our modern sleep habits, or lack there of, a tad concerning. Habits which often consist of a “Sleep when I’m Dead” or “Tougher than Sleep” mentality, keeping us humans up into the wee hours of the night for work (or pleasure) on a consistent basis.
Habits which modern research is beginning to point out, may have some disease accelerating effects on our health.
