286,400 seconds x 1440 minutes = 24 hours (may need the check my math) A ton of time when you think of it. And you get 365 of these a year, how the hell do you stay on track and motivated for that amount of time? Ill be the first to admit, some days you wake up ready to race up all of the stairs in the empire state building, yet others you can barely reach over to snooze your cell phone alarm (Tuesday happy hour Anyone?).
Make a commitment to get yourself in the win column, whether it be mentally, physically or emotionally. I make it simple and give myself three ways to get that W a day, all I have to do I accomplish two of the three:
- Physical Activity – Get in 30 mins of planed fitness
- Professional – Accomplish daily tasks/Learn something new
- Health – All natural / No processed, watch those added sugars
- Emotionally – Every hear that laughter is the greatest medicine? Good, Do it.
This isn’t a legally binding list…..yet. Let’s just call them some guidelines to get yourself in the win column, but whatever they are getting the W is crucial. Each day is an opportunity to show yourself that you can overcome everything that life throws your way, sometimes it take a little longer to reach the ultimate goal (insert NY Jets joke here) but if you stay the course and win the day(s) you’ll get there.
Create a competition with yourself and keep pushing to that next level. Hate to lose more then you love to win.
